About Valentina

Short bio

She studied acting at the RITCS (Royal Institute of Theatre, Cinema and Sound) in Brussels. She also studied classical piano at the Royal Conservatoire of Brussels.

As an actress and theatre maker she is active in the Netherlands and Belgium. She has played and created with, among others, De Toneelschuur, Het Houten Huis, Theatre Antigone, Theatre National de Bruxelles and Jeugdtheater Hofplein.

As a pianist, she was the regular guest of the Dutch TV-show “De Tiende Van Tijl” (NPO2), in seasons 3, 4 and 5.

In 2013 Challenge Classics released her debut CD, Hungarian Horizon. In 2014, this CD was awarded a Diapason d’Or. Her second CD with Challenge Classics was released in 2018, with works of Ernő Dohnányi.

Valentina also sings: in 2018, she made her own version of Schubert’s “Der Erlkonig” for Radio4. Thereafter, she made a few other radiocolumns for Radio4.
